Before any “high-risk” work is undertaken, you must ensure that a safe work method statement (SWMS) is prepared if anyone’s health or safety is at risk because of the work.
Safe not Sorry identifies the “high risk” work associated with your event and work with you and your team to develop the safe work method statement.
NB. A SWMS is similar to a job safety analysis (JSA), which has been widely used in Victoria. You may continue to use existing JSA formats providing you contain all the information required of an SWMS.
